Heineken is perhaps one of the best brands in the world when it comes to harnessing the power of social media and promoting themselves. After a long range of imaginative campaigns including a beer keg campaign, the company have now struck a global partnership with Facebook, seeing them collaborate with the social network for their latest campaigns.
In Singapore, Heineken are turning the traditional Christmas tree into a social tree. The creation consists of 48 LED screens and is slightly over 36 feet high. The social tree will allow people to turn the tree into a social hub where they can express good wishes to their friends and families.
Through Heineken’s Facebook app, you can create greetings that incorporate animation, music and images to express your holiday wishes. You can even take a photo of yourself and turn into a Christmas decoration to be displayed on the tree.
The tree will be on display in the heart of Clarke Quay in Singapore from December 17th to 26th and when it’s revealed, it will bound to be popular with those wanting to get in touch with family based in the country.
